Microneedling w/PRP

What is Microneedling?
The purpose of microneedling is to create a controlled injury to the skin, which triggers the process of collagen production and natural rejuvenation of the skin. It involves using a device with very small, very fine needles that puncture the uppermost skin layers.

Microneedling is useful in correcting skin discoloration, diminishing age-related lines and wrinkles, treating acne scars as well as scarring from other causes.

What is a PRP Facelift?
A PRP facelift, often referred to as a “vampire facelift,” is a cosmetic procedure designed to produce results similar to those provided by a conventional facelift. The difference is that, with a PRP facelift, the results can be obtained much more quickly and without surgery.

The patient’s own blood is used (hence the “vampire” nickname) and is combined with other techniques for rejuvenation of the skin. PRP can be used in a multitude of ways, including face and hand rejuvenation, after microneedling and laser treatments, and to promote new hair growth.

How Much Does a PRP Facelift Cost?
Currently, the cost for a PRP facelift is between $500 and $1,500. The cost of a PRP facelift will vary, depending on the extent of the treatment needed to achieve the desired outcome as well as other contributing factors that may affect the total cost. During your initial consultation, your customized treatment plan will be developed and an accurate cost can be given to you at that time. Most insurance companies will not cover the cost of cosmetic procedures. We strive to keep patient procedures as affordable as possible. We offer complimentary consultations along with several payment options, including cash, major credit cards and financing through CareCredit®.

What Are the Benefits of a PRP Facelift?
There are numerous benefits associated with a PRP facelift and most patients are extremely pleased with the results. Some common benefits include:
  • Virtually no downtime needed; minimal pain
  • Safe, effective, and quick procedure time
  • Triggers the body’s natural production of collagen
  • Smoothes and tightens the skin, improves skin texture, and diminishes wrinkles
  • Enhances self-image and boosts self-confidence

Am I a Good Candidate for a PRP Facelift?
If you’re a healthy adult without severe skin issues, you’ll likely be a good candidate for a PRP facelift. Candidates who are dealing with crepey skin issues tend to experience the most benefits from a PRP facelift. During the initial consultation, the doctor will help you make sure your expectations are in alignment with what’s possible and whether a PRP facelift is the best option to help you achieve your aesthetic goals. If not, he can help you explore other possible alternatives that may serve you better.

What is PRP Facelift Recovery Like?
There is very little recovery time needed following a PRP facelift. The procedure takes between 30 minutes and an hour to perform and most patients can return to their normal routine the next day. You may experience some tenderness and redness on the day after your treatment, but by the third day, these symptoms should be significantly diminished. For best recovery results, be sure to read and closely follow any post-treatment instructions you may be given following your PRP facelift procedure.

Am I a Good Candidate for Microneedling?
Chances are, if you’re a healthy adult with no major medical issues, you’ll be a good candidate for microneedling. You will need to be clear of any active infections, but otherwise, most healthy adults will be able to take advantage of the benefits microneedling offers.

What is Microneedling Recovery Like?
Your skin will likely be slightly red and feel mildly tender the first few days after the treatment. It’s a non-invasive procedure, so there’s really very little need (if any) for downtime. You can typically return to your normal activities the day following the treatment. Your skin will be sensitive, so precautions need to be taken to protect it, particularly from sun exposure. You’ll be given post-procedure instructions, which should be closely adhered to for optimal recovery results. You should be able to see full results in a few weeks.
